Install was straightforward and started making chlorine right away. Unit is rated for 15K gallon and mine is 6K gallon so I set it to 40% and level is fine.

I installed the Hayward W3T-CELL-15 myself, and it was super simple. The 15-foot cord gave me plenty of room to work with, and it fit perfectly into my system. The saltwater feels much softer on my skin, and I haven't had to worry about harsh chemicals anymore. Great product for anyone looking for an efficient, long-lasting salt chlorinator!

Now that I have this chlorinator running properly it works great.
After the installation, I had a problem where every day when the pump came on the chlorinator would flash low salt and inspect cell and was not generating salt. After several calls with Hayward support the problem was identified and a work around implemented. I had installed the chlorinator power input to the same source as the pump as per Hayward manual. My pump however, is a Jandy Variflow and the timer is inbuilt. There is 220 volts power on the pump even when it is not running. This means there is 220 volts power on the chlorinator even when the pump is off. It stops generating when no flow is detected and restarts when the pump restarts and creates a flow. The issue is that the memory inside the chlorinator decays when there is no flow and the power remains on. When it restarts it needs to be reset to function properly. The workaround was to put an external timer on the chlorinator. It now works great. If you have a pump with an inbuilt timer you need to be aware of this issue

Good and solid product. With current prices on chlorine, didn't feel like spending $800 on it this year, so have decided to switch to salt. All of my pool hardware is made by Hayward and I am familiar with their products, so that's why I have decided to get this chlorinator. TAdded salt to the pool and ran the pump for 24 hours prior to turning the chlorinator on. Then adjusted salt content on the chlorinator from the reading I got on my salt water test strip (3,300ppm) and that's it. I have a salt water pool. When it comes to electrical, I just ordered a power cord and waterproof connector for the control unit, since the unit is located next to an existing outlet.

We wanted to convert our pool from regular water to salt water and we found this salt generator and it's been amazing. It's very easy to get started. Well, it works perfectly. It was an exact match for my old cell and I was able to install it in minutes. It plugged into my system and immediately started working. No errors or issues. The construction is just as good as my old cell and I think it will last. I'm very happy with this new cell.
